Police in Chipinge have arrested a local man following a fraud report involving the purchase of nine goats. The suspect allegedly received money from a client to buy the livestock but instead kept the cash and stole the animals from a separate owner.
According to police, the accused is expected to appear in court soon to face charges of fraud and stock theft. Cases of livestock fraud and theft remain a concern in Manicaland province, with authorities urging residents to verify livestock sellers before making payments.
The investigation continues as police work to recover the stolen goats and return them to the rightful owner.
